Bragenham Farm

Bragenham Farm is situated at one end of Greensand Country which extends into Cambridgeshire. Once the site of a medieval hamlet, it's now a working farm producing grass-fed hogget and mutton and free range eggs. We opened up part of the farm in 2018 to host nature-loving campers and glampers. Out of season our campsite is used for winter grazing.

The wildlife here includes three types of deer, numerous wild birds, waterfowl and bats. Migratory birds return each year including Canada geese and swallows. You might also hear a barn owl or cuckoo during your stay.

The farm is rich in plant life and hosts regular 'Forage and Cook' events for a professional foraging company.

Facilities for guests include a washing up area with tables, seating and a fridge in a converted cart shed; toilets and showers. BBQs and fire pits (must be off the ground and have protection underneath) are allowed and can also be rented from us.

A public footpath runs through the farm and leads to the Grand Union Canal. Another path leads to Rushmere Country Park - 400 acres of woodland and heathland with walking and cycling trails and a visitor centre - where the Rushmere Parkrun starts and finishes.

Please note that the farm animals and their fields are not part of the campsite and are out of bounds to guests. If you have a particular interest in meeting them let us know in advance and we'll do our best to make it happen.
