Tucked away in a hidden valley on the North Wales border, Wild Cherry Camping offers the perfect location to explore the breathtaking scenery surrounding the River Dee, Vale of Llangollen and Ceiriog Valley and just minutes from the A5.
Located on a working smallholding each off-grid pitch has plenty of space to relax and unwind. Put your feet up or explore the holding, follow the nature trail around the hayfield and woods or say hello to the goats and pigs.
The generous pitches include their own private composting toilet, fire pit, dining shelter and picnic table. A complimentary net of logs is provided and campfire tripods are available to hire.
If you are looking to travel light and camp in comfort, the Coppice Tent - a five metre furnished bell tent - accommodates up to four adults including a fully equipped camp kitchen.
The site is spread over a mix of grassland and deciduous woodland that is home to a myriad of wild birds and mammals. You'll regularly hear the keening call of nesting buzzards and resident woodpeckers and tree creepers are regular sightings.
The land has a unique topography with various gradients across the site. Guests can drive to the camping pitches and once pitched up, parking is available at the top of the site. There are some steep paths and stepped areas between the pitches and facilities. Facilities include two showers, compost and flushing toilets and a small honesty shop. Device charging is also available on site.
