Belan Bluebells campsite in Llanidloes, Powys

About Belan Bluebells

Welcome to Belan Bluebells. Hidden 1300ft up in the Cambrian Mountains near Llanidloes, in secret mid-Wales. We offer wild meadow camping and glamping on our 60 acre, re-wilded family hill farm.

Choose from four, secluded meadow pitches, surrounded by our famous bluebells in spring and tall wild flower meadow thereafter. Eco-camping with luxury extras - your very own private compost toilet, converted horse trailer washing up hut, hot shower shacks and water brought to your pitch.

Real campfires on every pitch, toasting marshmallows and stargazing in recognised outstanding area by 'Dark Skies Wales'. Meet our tame lambs and George, the pony. Weekly pizza evenings!

Or try glamping in Idris, our beautiful shepherd's hut or one of our two, new glamping domes. Idris sits in its own three acres with spectacular views over the mountains. Converted horse trailer shower, outdoor covered kitchen, campfire, BBQ and wood fired hot tub. Welcome hamper includes homemade lemon drizzle cake! Stunning views and wildlife. Our resident red kites surround you. Forest and hilltop walks across the farm. Venture further across miles of footpaths or scale our nearest mountain, Pumlumon Fawr.

Worth noting

  • We aim to make life easy, with a large communal fridge and freezer. Pre-order charcoal, bbq packs, picnic hampers or afternoon tea. Locally, wild swimming spots abound, paddle boarding/watersports or fly-fishing lessons are available, as are pony rides. Walkers or mountain bikers are spoilt for choice of trails.
