Cwrt Hen campsite in Newcastle Emlyn, Ceredigion

About Cwrt Hen

Set in over 30 acres of countryside, and just a few miles inland from one of west Wales' award-winning sandy beaches, Cwrt Hen Campsite is an ideal base for those nature-loving campers who appreciate the simple and unspoilt charms of life, yet would like easy access to the beautiful coast of north Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion for the sandy beaches, the walks and dolphin-spotting, in addition to the historic town of Cardigan.

With no sounds of traffic to spoil your enjoyment, you can relax and take in the peace and quiet, either observing the wildlife on the lakes and ponds, watching the numerous visiting birds, strolling with your pooches, or relaxing on your own or with your family and friends.

There are both main campsite and lakeside pitches available, with or without hardstanding. Although fishing is no longer allowed in the lakes, there are good fisheries in the area, and excellent fishing in Cardigan Bay.

Cwrt Hen Campsite is a rustic haven and welcomes all well-behaved dogs too, with safe on-site dog-walking, as well as fields available for more vigorous exercise. There is no charge for dogs.

The campsite is founded on values of peace and quiet, allowing campers to truly benefit from experiencing all that nature provides. With moorhens, ducks, owls, kites, dragonfly sightings, and the occasional otter visit, wildlife is never far away. Fire baskets are provided and logs can be purchased from us or elsewhere, as only raised campfires are allowed.
