Small, friendly campsite, run by the farming families of Lasgarn. The farm is home to 300 sheep and a herd of Welsh Black cattle. You will get a glimpse of farming life and these well-tended animals in adjoining areas.
The campsite is arranged to give each pitch plenty of space and privacy. If star-gazing is your thing, you will be amazed by the dark skies. Sitting by your campfire, rediscover the feeling of belonging to the world and at one with nature.
Overlooking the Brecon Beacons National Park and just off the Cambrian Way, walkers are spoilt for a choice routes. A short trek will take you to the top of the Garn Wenn Mountain. Here you will be treated to views stretching towards the Severn Estuary, the Blorenge, Sugar Loaf Mountain and Malvern Hills.
The area is popular with mountain bikers, who enjoy the rugged landscape and challenges of the trails. Nearby, the walking and biking trails extend to the ancient Lasgarn Woods, with over 200-acres of natural woodland and home to muntjac deer and wild boar.
For sporting lovers, there is plenty to do in the area. A short drive away is Pontypool Park Leisure Centre and Llandegfedd Reservoir, which offer a variety of water sports. For golfers, we are situated next door to the beautiful Pontypool Golf Course, which offers day passes.
Visit the historic town of Blaenavon, which was given World Heritage Status in 2000. With the picturesque towns of Crickhowell and Abergavenny also nearby, it's easy to find somewhere nice to enjoy a meal out. These lovely towns have retained their rural charm and continue to attract people to their shops, food festivals and antique markets.
With so much to do, we hope you will also find time to simply relax and unwind on our cosy campsite and - enjoy the many comforts we provide.
