Set in over 55 acres of established woodland, with ponds, heath, moor and grassland and bounded by a brook along the land's northwestern edge. Kitewood is a truly wild place, hosting a myriad of wildlife and is a 100% carbon neutral enterprise. From May to October, Kitewood shares this natural habitat with like-minded off-grid campers.
At just 12 pitches total, each camping space is located within its own spacious, secluded, woodland glade - for a distinctive Scandinavian style woodland experience.
Self-contained, with no shared facilities, each pitch has its own private walk-in compost toilet and separate hot shower cubicle. A further covered area - with a picnic table and a campfire stocked with unlimited free wood (sourced on site) so you can stay cosy and dry. We encourage you to use the fire for cooking (woodsman style!) and grates, for forest cuisine preparation are provided.
This is genuine camping in the woods, with star speckled night skies, yet is only ten minutes from the north coast, with quiet beaches, coves for exploring, surfing, kayaking, coasteering and access to the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
The Celtic Trail Cycle Route (No 4) passes Kitewood's doorstep. St Davids and Newport are approximately 20 minutes in either direction, with the mystical Preseli Mountains just a little further away. Fishguard and Lower Town are 3-5 minutes drive and the ferry to Ireland and the local train station at Goodwick (direct route from London) and nearest beach, Goodwick Sands are all within just 1.8 miles.
